Planned Giving

BUILDING HOPE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS THROUGH PLANNED GIVING

In making a planned gift to Refuge for Women, you are not only establishing your own legacy in the hearts of others, but you are also helping Refuge for Women to address some of the most pressing issues in our communities. Providing healing and restoration to survivors of sex trafficking, your partnership with Refuge for Women through your planned giving will ensure that countless lives are touched with profound hope.

How It Works

There are many vehicles that you can use to remember Refuge for Women in your legacy. Here are but a few:
  1. BEQUEST
Designate Refuge for Women as the beneficiary of your asset by will, trust or beneficiary designation form. A charitable bequest is one of the easier and flexible ways that you can leave a gift to Refuge for Women that will make a lasting impact.

  2. IRA ROLLOVER
You may be looking for a way to make a lasting difference to help further the mission and vision of Refuge for Women. If you are 70 1/2 or older, an IRA charitable rollover is a way you can help continue our work and benefit this year.

  3. BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION GIFTS
Designate Refuge for Women as a beneficiary of your retirement, investment, bank account or your life insurance policy. This is a simple and yet affordable way to make a gift in support of Refuge for Women.

  4. CHARITABLE REMAINDER UNITRUST
With this vehicle, you can transfer your cash or appreciated property to fund a charitable remainder unitrust. The trust sells your property tax free and provides you with income for life or for a set term of years.

  5. CHARITABLE LEAD TRUST
With this vehicle, you fund a trust that makes a gift to Refuge for Women for a number of years. Your family receives the trust remainder at substantial tax savings.

These are just a few of the ways you can consider Refuge for Women in your legacy planning. Feel free to contact us or have your financial advisor / estate attorney contact us if we can be of further assistance in your legacy planning.

"It is exceedingly rare for me to publicly endorse a nonprofit organization but without question, Refuge for Women has earned my full support. In my thirty-eight years of working with hundreds of nonprofit organizations and governing boards across the United States, I have never been more inspired than I am with Refuge for Women. I not only remain increasingly motivated by their heartfelt mission of reaching out to the least of these among us and turning their lives into cathedrals of hope, I remain increasingly impressed by the integrity of the organization - from the governing national board and president, to the dedicated executive director on the local level, Refuge for Women continually demonstrates a level of transparency, accountability, and integrity that is unparalleled in the marketplace and that is serving to win the hearts of countless supporters. You can know and rest assured that your love for, gifts to, and partnership with Refuge for Women will only serve to long echo on the timeline of eternity as together with Refuge for Women we build lives that are cathedrals of hope. They have won my heart; allow them to win yours, too!"

"I am writing to you to express my sincere appreciation and love for Refuge for Women. I am so impressed with the quality of their organization and the incredible work they do. The quality starts at the top of the organization and runs through everything they do. I have had the honor of getting to know some of their key leaders and have found them to be of very high quality, integrity and skill in running the ministry. The women they serve are in some of the most difficult situations imaginable and they are being very well taken care of and experience the love of Jesus. I have met board members, senior leaders, and staff members. They are all committed to serving their clients with love and tender care. The need is great and it is my hope and desire that they would continue to be blessed with ministry partners that invest in their mission and allow them to expand to other cities and states in the US. And long term it would be great to see them expand internationally. I am 100% committed to helping them succeed in the call God has placed on their mission and vision."
