Scholarship Program

While Refuge for Women has provided women survivors with housing and holistic services for over 10 years now, there is one key piece missing that will further equip women to succeed and sustain a life marked with dignity and hope—education.

Refuge for Women has a goal of launching an education scholarship program for women survivors who are either currently in one of the Refuge for Women programs, or who have already completed the program. Ultimately, our goal is that by the end of 2022, we will raise $100,000 for this scholarship program to get women back to school and working towards attaining their post-secondary education.

Our 2022 plan is to award 5 residents or graduates with $2,500 education scholarships at the accredited post-secondary institution or accredited trade school. Scholarships will be awarded for up to 4 years, and the amount will increase with each year as the program continues.
