Donating Stock:  Interested in donating stock to a specific Refuge for Women location? Start by reviewing the stock transfer instructions here: How To Transfer Stock. Then, contact your financial advisor, decide which shares you would like to donate, and have your advisor reach out to Giovanna Swisher, CFP® with Robert W. Baird & Co. to process the transfer. Your donation can be designated to benefit any Refuge for Women location you choose.

Scholarship Program

Refuge for Women has been offering housing and comprehensive services to survivors for over a decade, but there is a crucial element missing in our mission to empower women to lead lives filled with dignity and hope – education.
Refuge for Women’s Education Scholarship Program is meticulously designed to provide ongoing support to women survivors currently enrolled in our programs or those who have successfully completed them. Our goal is to raise $100,000 in funding for this scholarship initiative to enable women to pursue post-secondary education.

In the upcoming year, our plan involves awarding education scholarships to as many as five residents or graduates. These scholarships can be utilized at accredited post-secondary institutions or trade schools.
